Gavan is a leading New Zealand jeweller who works from his home base. His jewellery based around the flora, fauna and natural elements of New Zealand is admired and collected world-wide.
Gavan works with gold, silver, paua and precious stones, creating unique rings, bracelets, brooches and pendants.
If desired, the pieces listed can be crafted to your size. If you require this service all you need to do is send us your finger or wrist circumference.

Gavan Riley was born in New Zealand and went to England in 1966 to gain a BSc with honours at the University of Kent. In 1976 he began working at his brother's jewellery workshop, "The Great Frog", in Carnaby Street in London and designed and made jewellery there.

His work included stage jewelry for rock groups and jewellery for television shows and film companies, including the BBC and Walt Disney. Gavan created, among many pieces, Hercule Poirot's amphora lapel pin for the Agatha Christie television series and the prominently featured locket in the movie "A Fish Called Wanda".

He returned to New Zealand in 1988 and concentrates on the flora and fauna jewellery which reflects his New Zealand origins. His extensive collection is available in sterling silver, gold and platinum. He lives north of Auckland, in a seaside community.
